The game focuses on modern-day combat with players fighting in the jungles of Indonesia and in exotic Southeast Asia as part of a coalition or a separatist movement. Combined Arms offers multiple soldier classes, an arsenal of 44 authentic weapons, and 35 air and ground vehicles to command during the day or at night. I like and hate the game.
I'm impressed with the variety of options, such as helicopters, motorcycles, etc. in the game. Also, the ease of use with these options is user friendly. However, I am more accustomed to games like Call of Duty and Halo. These titles differ from the above title, for me, in that it seems difficult to fight an opponent in one on one combat as well as hit a mark on the playing field. The guns just don't seem to do much unless the are absolutely clear shots. Perhaps this effect was intended by the publisher to more closely resemble a realistic situation. I can understand that, but I still get stressed out when I shoot someone, especially someone I know playing in the game, and it seems to have little effect on them. An oldie but a goodie
This game has been around for years, but it is an excellent FPS. The battle field is HUGE, you are fighting a real battle, not just a lousy couple of blocks. Tanks, choppers, motorcycles, trucks, atv.'s, it has it all and more. It is not one of those games were you jump in fire 7,000 rounds half a dozen rockets, kill 10 players and get killed five time all in the first five minutes. That is kid stuff. This is a thoughtful, realistic game that takes teamwork, skills and knowledge of combat. You can also use the mapmaker to produce your own game scenarios and play them on line with others.. Old Game
It's 12 years old, it has 12 year old graphics, so what! The gameplay is still better than any FPS made. Why?..one to two shots for a kill. None of that 50 rounds to drop a target nonsense. Two meter to 800 meter shots, few games have that range. Almost all ages can play, especially on coop. Its about team play not leveling up.

easy on the battle!!!!
I really like the simplicity of the battle style and play. Large worlds and alot of weapons.This is modern warefare...but for the money..I like this game!!! wildstringdom

Joint Operations: Combined Arms
This game looks like it could be very immersive and fun. One problem is that I haven't been able to find alot of online play because its so old.Overall this game needs a bit of polish but with some bots and more downloaded addons it may turn out to be one of the better fps tactical games.
