This gun was a step above, easy to load and hange gun canisters, easy to use and easy to change foam bead widths and was ideal with the plastic tips for filling the smallest gaps around a window frame. PU Expanding Foam Gun with Cleaner
A well made quality gun that works exceptionally well with PU pond foam with adjustable foam spray volume facility. Variable nozzle attachments supplied allow spraying in open and tight areas easy thus preventing overspray. Perfect. The gun cleaners is fantastic and cleans all foam off brilliantly. I followed the instructions and ensured that I cleaned the gun before the foam had started to set. This stuff even took the paint off my saw that I used to cut and mould the foam before it had fully set. I used one can of cleaner to 2 cans of foam, but I wanted to make sure the gun was fully clean and reusable and look like new again which it did. Less cleaner may be possible once I had perfected the cleaning process and establish whether I need to clean the gun between PU foam can ... Good for the money.
Good for the price, I've bought three so far from platinum. It gums up fairly easily but is good enough for what I need, a reroof and insulation install. Had the first one around 6 months until it developed a leak between trigger and chamber, losing a full can of foam in the process. Second lasted just a day after the screw holding the bottle snapped. Third is going ok so far, not convinced more expensive guns are worth the money but if someone from platinum is reading this, I wouldn't say no to a refund on the one which snapped after barely a days use. Would recommend the supplier Platinum, fast delivery, accurate descriptions.Good for the price, I've bought three so far from platinum. A little work to get a good result
Let’s not beat about the bush, if you’re expecting OEM quality and specs at the price you pay for this item, then like the 5w bulb it comes with, you’re a bit dim. It needs a little tweaking to make a nice job of it. The unit looks ok BUT remember it is a cheap copy, so the black stalk is plastic, not rubber and the bulb holder is mounted in a way that only takes a 5w bulb. However, it’s possible to un-mount the metal bulb holder (solder on the negative wire that’s just twisted onto the spring while you’re at it), slip off the ring that screws to the holder with a pair of pliers and bin the ring, carefully pop the holder down the shaft, and secure it in place with a carefully applied shot of superglue. Once that’s done, it will take the correct 21w bulb. If you’re capable of replacing ... I’ve done have a dozen repairs using this part modified as described and the final outcome makes it very hard to distinguish from the original. Overall, I’m very happy

Great foam gun, why pay more...
There are possibly better guns than this one but for a diy project, it is perfect. Rate of delivery is easily adjusted, it is comfortable to use and for the price a very reasonable tool. No point me spending 2 or 3 times the price for a engineering miracle just to have it rot in the garage. Even for a tradesman these are cheap enough to replace regularly. So, my experience is: good low cost tool, why pay more?There are possibly better guns than this one but for a diy project, it is perfect. Quality feel
This gun seems really good quality, its very controllable and makes placing the foam precise. Cleaning so far has been a doddle, and it has worked perfectly each time. Sometimes the can sticking up can be a bit of a nuisance, but I have found a way each time without too much of a problem. It is so superior to the one shot cans that there is no comparison really, I wish I had bought one sooner!
