  • Best one ever.

All the discworld books are amazing, this is one of my favourites. I collected them years ago. Waiting for each new one to come out. I gave my well read collection to my Son when he left home. I have just rediscovered The Discworld and am buying the hardbacks again, maybe to give to my Grandson.

The greatest satirist of the age. And so funny. Everyone should read him.

  • Very bleak

Sir Terry must have been having a REALLY bad day when he wrote this. Although it features Captain Sam Vimes of the City Watch (one of my favourite characters) the story itself is so depressing and dark it is as though it was penned by a completely different author. Captain Vimes is accidentally sent back in time to meet his younger self - but there are no humourous asides, no puns, no witty repartee at all; it is all dour and depressing. Very disappointing.
