Great Rod buy with confidence! Alaska tough.
I now have 3 Hamachi rods, this one, the spinning version of th e Zenku and a Nano Stalker spinning rod. Superb build quality. Excellent performance with a wide range of target species. I recently fished my in Alaska, USA for Salmon, Pacific Cod and bottom fish. It took me a few retrieves to find the jigging groove but then it was wide open catching. I now have 3 Hamachi fishing rods including both this model and the overhead reel version, plus a Nano Stalker spinning rod. It was used on multiple deepwater bottom and mid water column dwelling species of pelagic and non-pelagic rockfish with an Okuma Komodo reel. Bottom and structure taps were detected easily as were fish bites. The components are good quality and the fit and finish are excellent for this price point rod. I would ... I now have 3 Hamachi rods, this one, the spinning version of th e Zenku and a Nano Stalker spinning rod. Superb build quality. Excellent performance with a wide range of target species. Brilliant rod - super strong - awesome jigging rod in the Andaman sea
Light weight , super strong , i have many Hamachi rods and these are another great one I travel alot for fishing and I always have a Hamachi Zenku with me i love both this one 6'2 and the 7'0 . 5'2 is also great so many Zenku's to choose from and only pair of hands! The 7' is great for being able to cast soft plastics down drift and get a perfect vertical jig by the time the boat gets there. For the straight vertical jig the 5'2 its also a killer pulling lures and livebaiting the stout length gives plenty of control over the fish. Light weight and heavy duty! I have both the overhead and spinning version. I have caught many red snapper,cobia,and sharks up to six feet long. Great rods period. Have had many comments on the strength of the rods for how light they are. 👍👍
