They work great, and at this price you can put one on every door, which I did. The batteries last a very long time in these too.

Cheap Chinese junk. Really bad. 33% non-functioning right out of the bag. The rest are destined to fail quickly. Only the batteries are worth salvaging, and you can bet they are of inferior quality as well. The price should have been the only red flag I needed to see. My wishful thinking got the better of me.

These may have just saved my house from being robbed. I own the ALC Connect that system sends me alerts and sounds a siren or sirens if you have more than one when a sensor is triggered. HOWEVER if you do not have power the ALC connect does not work not even a siren. So I purchased 10 of these from e bay got them a little bit cheaper. Please read my pros and cons I did NOT get these for free for my honest review. Here is what happened. The other day I saw a former neighbor, who I wish I never saw again walking around my neighborhood. He was a drug addict and a dealer and brought criminals to my area. I was thinking oh boy maybe I shouldn't leave my home that night but I had work. When I got to the parking lot of my work, That drug addict neighbor called my business phone and asked where I was he wanted to talk to me. I said please leave I have surveillance cameras and a security system (I did have a camera in my living Room Piper NV and with Piper NV and these cheap sensors saved my house I also have ADT signs all over my property) Not even 3 minutes after I get off the phone I get an alert from Piper NV telling me loud sound was detected and the siren was going off. I called 911, I was watching the camera and couldn't see anything, but decided to go home any way. Sure enough my kitchen window was attempted a break in, and the push was so loud that it knocked one of these off and the loud noise was bringing attention to Piper NV alerting me of loud noises. This saved my house from a potential break in thank you. PROS: Cheap affordable. loud noise that will distract someone from breaking in they may think you have a monitoring company, and take off running after they hear this. Batteries are included. Got a system like Fortress Security? Guess what these magnetic holders will work on those systems too. I had a lot of extras so I used one with my ALC connect and it thinks it has the ALC magnetic base. They come with batteries included and have some form of sticky tape. The next pro is good and bad at the same time. They noise goes off when the magnetic base is returned back to the system. However most crooks once they open something up and hear the noise they take off running without thinking about closing your door. There is no timer for this. The alarm will go off until the batteries go dead, until you put the magnetic piece back on, or until you turn it off. CONS: Batteries are expensive to replace. There are no key fobs, so if you want to arm this while away, you have to arm this and hear the noise for a bit before you close the door. The sticky tape is not sticky enough. You'll need to get gorilla glue. If this does fall off when you are not home and it was not a robbery the siren will keep going off until the batteries died which can p*ss of some neighbors. All in all I do recommend this for people on a budget or to go along with a more expensive systemRead full review
