In my experience, Clapton wire provides no better flavor or vapor production than straight Kanthal, in some circumstances is harder to make builds with (the build deck is rather compact with the Smok TFV4's rebuildable) and yet it is approximately twice as expensive. If I were to do it again I'd save the pennies. However, having said all of that, this Clapton wire is good quality and perfectly capable of making very nice, very functional coils which I've enjoyed vaping on. For that I give it 4 stars, I just don't recommend it or consider it a good value.

It is imperative that the wire you choose to use for vaping is annealed properly and is free of harmful impurities. After all, anything impurities in your wire are going to be adsorbed by your lungs when you fire it up and draw on it. Chinese made Kanthal is often found to have poor annealing and many harmful impurities in it. I was not surprised when my wire arrived to find that it was coated with the oil from the machinery they use to wind it on the spools they ship it with. If you don't mind taking the time to clean the oil off this wire and spending a little extra time torching it to remove the impurities in it, I am sure you will find this wire useful. I like the idea of buying Clapton wire already made up on a spool, but I would much prefer the same in an American made Kanthal that is free of oil and impurities.Read full review

I have bought 2 rolls of this clapton wire, it's just the right size for rebuilding kanger heads or one of my rta's! The first roll went pretty quick because i used it on all of my rta's and rba's, i still have a good bit but because it is so good, i bought a second roll just to make sure i have a good supply! Very tightlyrics wound with no spaces , the quality is excellent. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who builds their own coils!

I don't like using pre-made coils from tank manufacturers. I prefer to coil & wick them myself. I was having trouble getting good flavor & wicking out of my "Baby Beast" tank, using the build deck. The build deck is very small, so the pre-wrapped clapton coils I usually use on all my attys were too large and regular kanthal wire tasted unsatisfactory. This wire fit the bill, now I'm getting great flavor & wicking out of my "Baby Beast", usiing a 2.5mm bit for the coil wrap. I'm sure this wire will work great for other atty's as well. if you're looking for clapton wire to use in a small build deck, this is it.

I've never seen better and 12 foot will last for years considering how thick it is. I've had the same one in for months now. Just burn it clean and reuse it. I use to fold a single wire and spin it with a drill till I was happy with the wrap but now it's all done already to use!! Thx!! To who ever coined this ideal wrap system.
