Good for a nostalgic look back
It was fun from nostalgia, The old TV series was as expected filled with wooden characters and dialog. There was reason the TV series fits on one disc. Having said that, I did like the look back. For anyone that did not survive disco, the civil rights struggles of the 70's and Watergate, it would just not be entertaining TV.

The 70's (2000, DVD)
I had not seen the "Decades series" (The 60's & The 70's) on television and was unaware of the series until I spotted them on ebay. As an early baby-boomer, the 60's and 70's represent a defining period of my life. I was intrigued by the promise of a story that would explain what life was like in those turbulent years as well as highlight the key events of that period. I thought that these DVD's would enable my children and grandchildren to better understand what life was like . I thoroughly enjoyed "The 60's" and "The 70's" although some might consider them too shallow. i bought this movie because i watched years ago when it came out and absolutely loved it. Other great movies that are similar to this are 'The 60s' which came out a year or two before this one, also a great movie and 'Around the Fire'. these movies are a great way to get some perspective on events in American History and is great way to remember some of it for those of you out there who just can't grasp the total understanding and feeling of the times and events by reading it out of a book.i bought this movie because i watched years ago when it came out and absolutely loved it.
