So I bought this cpu sometime back according to this laptop I have toshiba satellite pro L450-17p chipset Intel GM45 can support and is 1066mhz fsbi also updated the bios to the last when I installed nothing fans spinner up and tuned off kept pressing power button then the fans spins and the whole motherbord heats but no display no post no beep kept it running like that for a bit nothing changed put back one I have now t6600 and all good I quad checked all sources if the chipset support - yes��

Nitrous For The M17x!
Upgraded a M17x with this QX9300 processor as it is the fastest extreme quad with a unlocked multiplier. I have it on default on multiplier selection on bios and haven't tried any overclocking yet. Slapped on some Cruise Missile thermal paste. Runs real cool for every day computing with Windows 10 Pro, picture editing programs, video editing programs and DJ programs. I did notice a boost higher than the previous Q9100 processor. I'm happy with it. In the near future I will overclock to see what's my highest stable clock. My M17x boots Windows 10 Pro in less than 10 seconds with the QX9300, SSD, PC3 10600 8gb memory. Put pep back in my laptop's step
I have an ASUS G72GX, which was originally equipped from factory with a Q9000 quad core @ 2.0ghz. Finally decided I wanted a little more for a dated machine, and bought this CPU to slap in, and I couldn't be happier. With the higher frequency and unlocked multiplier, as well as more adequate cooling, I was able to overclock my laptop to 3.06ghz with this CPU. With the overclock, the performance is great, as well as the temps.I have an ASUS G72GX, which was originally equipped from factory with a Q9000 quad core @ 2.0ghz. Efficient CPU Upgrade for Core 2 Duo Dell m4400 Laptop
The Intel QX9300 was a nice upgrade for the m4400 Dell Business Laptop. This Quad Core QX9300 CPU idles quietly around 3% CPU usage, as compared with 75% with the OEM Intel p8700 CPU, or 60% with the OEM Intel Q9100 Extreme CPU. The QX9300 only supports 4 threads, as compared with 8 threads used in an Intel i7 class CPU, but it still handles most operations efficiently in both Win 7 Pro x64 and Win 10 x64 platforms.The Intel QX9300 was a nice upgrade for the m4400 Dell Business Laptop. This Quad Core QX9300 CPU idles quietly around 3% CPU usage, as compared with 75% with the OEM Intel p8700 CPU, or 60% with the OEM Intel Q9100 Extreme CPU. Fast quad core!
This CPU gets a 7.2 rating on windows 7. Not shabby for a laptop. It's powerful as long as you are running multi-threaded applications. However it is slower than a higher clocked dual core at single and dual thread applications. I give this product a good instead of excellent rating because it cant independently manage the clocks of separate cores. (turbo boost) Newer mobile i7 processors can independently over-clock and down-clock separate cores based on how many threads an application is using, overcoming the negative impact of low clocks when running single and dual thread apps.This CPU gets a 7.2 rating on windows 7. Problem free drop in for Dell Precision M6400 with T9600 dual core
The processor came in a nice ESD safe box with heat sink compound. It was clean and looked unused, the processor ID agreed with the picture and expectations. The accompanying packing slip lists this as a new processor, which seems very reasonable given the condition the chip is in. Replaced the original T9600 (core 2 duo processor) in my Dell precision M6400 with this core 2 quad. The laptop booted immediately and recognized all cores and proper frequencies. One very minor issue the Dell bios recognizes this processor as a Q9300 not a QX9300, however the number of cores, processor frequency and memory frequency are all in order. If any issues crop up in the near future I will report them here. Later: The processor bios issue seems to be an Intel problem, the chip cannot report more than 5 ...
