I've had numerous colour ink jets over the years and have always been left disappointed about the print quality and the expense of ink. I wanted a scanner and a printer. I finally decided that I did not need colour so searched long and hard for a laser and scanner in one. This is hard to find without paying a lot. This printer is a good compromise. Great deal on the price only £89.99 plus by getting it on eBay you get nectar points and can use any eBay vouchers against the purchase. This is direct from Ryman so it is the same as buying from their web site or store. It comes with all the cables and a cartridge. Quality and speed are impressive. It does curl pages a little but this is to be expected and depends on the quality of the paper. I do not miss colour ink and would rather have better black that poor colour. I will be buying generic ink when I do need it. Fantastic printer. I will not be going back to inkjets and just wish I'd made this decision years ago.Read full review

I was expecting a "plug in and play" set up but I found the setting up instructions (such as they were) very,very basic and you had to "laterally think" you way around the set up procedure. Once I had done that then great.........until the bit where I wanted to pair up my iphone to be able to print direct from the phone........thats another story! As a product, 10/10, as for the instructions both paper and dvd, 3/10

Choosing a printer is never easy, but I am so glad I chose this one. The set-up is straightforward and it prints very quickly after sending the command. Print quality is pin sharp and graphics prints are superb. The only thing to be aware of is that the front cover must open in order to have the paper ready for printing. It feels a little like the paper is poking out of the printer. It's a tiny detail in an otherwise super product.

A very good printer for the money but if technology is not your strong point, you may well struggle when setting it up as it can be quite tekky. Printing is good and fast and it’s quite compact considering all the features it has. I just wish the set up was a little easier
