Enjoy the feel and sound far better than original M2 driver. Length of club [46inch] was concern so cut down inch and very easy to hit and consistent penetrating ball flight with adjustable loft. Still feel that M1 offers more adjustments and similar sweet spot on face of club.

This driver has the features a senior golfer like myself would seem to want, but there is something about it that just doesn't feel right. Of course, it is more likely "operator error" than the club, but the driver I had previously used produced straighter, longer drives than this one. If it is, indeed, the club, it may be the difference in the shaft or perhaps the 14 degree loft. I have been told by pros that the higher the drive, the longer the drive, but it's not working for me. I wish I knew, for sure, what makes the difference so that I could correct it and get the longer, straighter drives that I had previously experienced. I still have a week/ten days on the warranty. I'm considering sending it back.

Bought to replace a 3 1/2 yr old Callaway (that I still like). Got it because of "Low Spin" claims. I only have 4 rounds in so far, but it is easy to hit, and I have gained distance with extra roll out due to lower spin. I have 3 adjustable clubs and have never had to adjust any of them-SO I like the fact that this one doesn't add cost due to all the adjustable add ons. I am a senior golfer who drives 190-210. This club is 200+ and I hit a nice soft draw on a 315 yard hole that ended up 60 yds to the pin-do the math.

I am a 6 handicap golfer and own two R7 drivers. One is the R7 TP with a Fujikura 757 stiff shaft and the other is an R7 HT with the diamana 63 stiff shaft. Both drivers are 9.5*. I was thinking about trading or adding the R7 425 to the stable. I seem to be a golf club collector. I was talking to a sales person about the expensive shafts available. This sales person is, also, a scratch college golfer. I was curious what I would get from the diamana 63 that I wouldn't get from the Fujikura 26.3 or the UST Proforce V2. He told me that in his opinion unless you are a tour profession, you will not be able to tell any difference or gain any advantage with the diamana shaft. I believe this to likely be an accurate assessment of shaft technology for us armateur golfers. We want what the pros have but it is probably not helping us much if at all. I am a victim along with many others. With that being said I will not order a new driver with one of the $200 shafts in the future but if I can buy one on Ebay at a reasonable price it would be hard to pass up. From what I have observed on the driving range and golf course most would be wise to spend $200 on golf lessons and forget about trying to buy a golf swing with some expensive shaft. Homer Kelly states in his book, "no amount of ignorance about technique can, alone, prevent players from completing the trip from Tee to Cup". Sending a lot for shafts adds to our ignorance and doesn't improve technique which is the real secret to enjoying golf more.Read full review
I purchased the Taylormade M2 driver with a regular shaft flex. I also own a Taylormade M1 Driver but with a senior flex. I wanted to be able to switch shafts with colder weather, I live in Minnesota, and early and late in the season on the colder mornings, I thought that flex could make a difference in the distance I get. I have tried out the new M2 driver and it is everything I thought it would be. Nice and straight off the tee, and I do get a few yards farther with the regular flex shaft. I will probably try the regular flex shaft with the M1 head, to see if it makes a difference.
