2017 release, the highly anticipated full-length album from the country music singer/songwriter is the first new music from Stapleton since 2015's breakthrough double platinum solo debut Traveller and will be followed by From A Room: Volume 2 coming later this year. The album takes it's name from Nashville s historic RCA Studio A, where it was recorded during the winter of 2016-17. Once again produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb, Volume 1 features eight original songs as well as a rendition of "Last Thing I Needed, First Thing This Morning," written by Gary P. Nunn and Donna Sioux Farar and made famous by Willie Nelson. Other highlights include "Second One To Know". In addition to Stapleton on vocals and guitar and Cobb on acoustic guitar, the album features Morgane Stapleton on harmony vocals as well as longtime band-members J.T. Cure on bass and Derek Mixon on drums and musicians Mickey Raphael on harmonica, Robby Turner pedal steel and Mike Webb on keys.

    Chris Stapleton From A Room, Vol. 1

    I received my Chris Stapleton CD on time. I was very pleased with it. It was in excellent condition. I have played it over and over. I truly enjoy the CD. Chris is a very talented. He sings from the soul. I am waiting for the follow up to be released. Chris has country, soul and rhythm and blues. His voice is not like anyone else. He is a one in a million truly gifted artist.

    Sophomore jinx

    I loved Chris' first album, "Traveler". When his new one came out, I bought it eagerly. Boy, what a disappointment. The songs are no where as good as his first album. The engineering is poor because the instruments drown out his voice on a lot of the numbers. Too many of the songs seem like they were hastily written and are more noise than anything else. The number of songs is disappointing after "Traveler", but with what was recorded that may not be a bad thing. I think there are two tracks that I enjoyed. I've listened to the disk one time because of the disappointment with the album. With the lack of quality on this album, I will hesitate a long time before I buy volume 2.

    9 Tracks; Well worth IT!!

    Man, this guy just keeps getting better. I thought that it would be impossible for his to follow up his first album, but Stapleton has shown me, I WAS WRONG!! And I'm glad I was, because every track is AWESOME! Chris, you keep doing your thing, boy!!

    Great! Saw him Saturday night at Rupp in Lexington, he was fantastic! He was born in Lex so he really put on one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. Now I can keep listening. Thanks!
