I really enjoy this book, facts are accurate, backed up with excellent photos, and the book is well bound so should last the test of time.I find lots of new facts about the cars of this period every time I browse through.

The car of the year was not even featured in the 1972 portion of the book. Ford had introduced the “Pinto Station Wagon. No mention of it until a few years later in the book. Someone in the research department missed that one!!! What a blunder!!! Don’t know what else they might of missed when that was so blatant!!!

This is one book in a 5 book series that covers cars from the 1930's thru the 1970's. Each book covers one decade and each chapter covers 1 year. The chapter starts off with a summary for that year (car stuff and non-car stuff) then talks about the cars alphabetically by manufacturer. The book has hundreds of excellent pictures and plenty of stats on the cars too. This series of books are my favorite older car books I have found and I own over a dozen car books. The book's retail price is $30 but you can find it on ebay, yahoo, and amazon for $5 or less! Excellent book!!
Great book

The book is great. Interesting tid-bits of information. glossy pages with sharp images. I'd like to send the book to the big 3 in Detroit and remond them of the beautiful machines they used to make. The "jelly-bean" style cars of today just don't have the same exciting body lines.
