You wouldn't be buying it unless you knew you'd like it, would you?
If you like Taggart from the Mark McManus days, you like Taggart from the Mark McManus days. There is a humour associated with the dour Taggart character which is lost in the later shows. I love the way the programme can depict life lived with a stone in your shoe, and yet not bring you down.
