    New lease of life for ancient iPad

    I damaged the old digitiser when I accessed the inside of an ancient iPad 2 . I was attempting to replace the charge port, but it is VERY tricky to unglue and separate everything, and rather easy to damage the ribbon cables for the WiFi antenna and the digitiser screen. This screen works perfectly although I ended up using duct tape to hold it all together. I think this was because parts of the alloy frame were corroded. I don’t blame the kit for this. I did note what looks like a tiny air bubble trapped in the plastic. This slight defect is hardly noticeable. Since the product was very cheap, and the iPad is again working for my granddaughter to watch Pepper Pig, I chose to ignore the defect, but the imperfection results in four stars.

    Good quality, but you may find better for same cost.

    The quality is reasonable for the money, but I have seen better. Example for the points what do not satisfies me: - The quality of the polarization filter (resp.back light) are not so good, which makes narrower viewing angle. - The quality of the glue, holding the back frame is not adequate to the original one. This cause issues when the screen "de-laminates" in layers and customer brakes the glass again. - The LCD is NOT original. I've bought earlier refurbished retina genuine LCD's with replaced digitizer. This display is not this kind!

    Excellent value although not perfect

    The tools and hardware are fine, fit I found to be excellent if a little fiddly for big hands. The screen I would say is now a micro second slower than my genuine screen and a tad darker but for £20 odd pounds I'm very happy.

    VERY BEST ON EBAY

    I am a repairer and innit in excess of 10 screens a week. This supplier is the best full stop I have never seen plastics added (for the camera and sensor) before and let me tell you this will save you time and frustration when putting the phones screen assembly back together. My new favourite and I will use this supplier every time!
