Without being graphic, let's just say it works. Helpful hint: save a small drinks bottle, lucozade is ideal as it has a wide neck. quarter fill with water, drop in your desired amount (a level teaspoon is good), quickly put the lid on and shake the bottle vigorously for a few seconds. Drink it, then half fill the bottle, shake it, drink it, fill the bottle, sip it casually. All sellers of psyllium stress taking plenty of water with it. As capsules, its convenient and tidy, but costs four times as much. It has a faint, unpleasant taste, according to my palate, so either drink it quickly holding your nose, or add a sprinkle of nutmeg or cinnamon or cocoa powder to combat the natural taste.

This psyllium is as a fine powder so mixes quickly and easily with ingredients or to be used as a fibre supplement in other ways. The quantity and value to the price paid is good, especially at the moment where everything’s is supposedly magical and made by leprechauns under a grand alignment once a century justifying some extortionate prices as seen elsewhere. In my photos you can see oat fibre flat breads I’ve made using this, the powder in the packet and on the board showing the grade of fine powder it comes in. Hopefully this is helpful.

Great product, great value. Seems very potent, I tend to use a bit less than the recipe asks when using it to get the best results.

An excellent fine powder which I use in baking. No colour changes or odd smells as some have found. It certainly gets the digestion moving, so unless that is your plan eat in moderation.
