Ideally, I would have used the ready-split type but this was too thick as a lot of the pipes are quite tight against walls etc so to avoid a bigger job, I decided to go for this thinner-walled option and split it myself using a Stanley knife. Not ideal as I say and a lot of taping up to afterwards so it remains to be seen how effective it is during very cold snaps. Best for pre-installation of pipes.
- a***r (4162)- Feedback left by buyer.More than a year agoVerified purchaseThis insulation is coiled up and compressed for transportation, which while I understand why it makes it very difficult to install on 22mm pipe as it is a tight fit and the collapsed tube creates so much friction that a maximum of 2m of insulation can be pulled along the pipe in one piece and makes the process much harder than it needs to be. The 6mm thickness is also really too thin to be effective thermally. I won't be using this type again, I'll be sticking to straight 13mm lengths.
