2018 debut album from L.A.-based Scottish singer/songwriter Sarah Grace McLaughlin AKA Bishop Briggs, who has been penned as one of 2018's most important breakout artists. Church Of Scars includes the single 'White Flag,' which is building at Alternative radio. The album also includes previous hits, 'River' and 'Wild Horses,' which have been featured on a variety of television shows and commercials. In a rave review, Jenna Mohammed, writing for Exclaim! Called McLaughlin's voice "immensely powerful". Mohammed described the album as "high-energy from start to finish", and that her "style and essence is very reminiscent of Florence + the Machine and Banks, but she sets herself apart through intense beat drops and her gospel choir roots".

    Compelling!

    Very compelling beat and voice. Saw her perform 'White Flag' on Stephen Colbert and had to look her up. Bought an older (shorter, 5 song) CD. Only whetted my appetite more for this release. Her voice and general style compare favorably to Pink and Lady Gaga. Briggs excels at elucidating the foibles of human romantic relationships. My only gripe is that there are only 10 songs. I wish it were 50...

    Not the Extended Target CD

    Buyer beware as there are 3 versions of this CD, if looking for the extended Target version with 2 bonus songs which include "Hold on" played on the tv show "The Good Doctor" you should only buy the one that states "Extended Version Target CD" to insure purchasing the correct version this CD. Unsure why 3 different versions were put out when should have only retailed the Extended version with the 2 bonus songs labeled "Target CD"
