I think this item (which was one of four bought at the same time as part of a special offer) had to be re-despatched. I told them it didn't arrive with the other books so they made arrangements to get it to me ASAP. They said it would be despatched within 48 hours and it was despatched within 24. I had it on my doorstep in 3 days, in very good condition as described. Very happy with the price and the service, highly recommended seller. Very professional.

It reminds of the "tales of Sevastopol" but, unlike Tolstoy, Linna lacks the rethoric that, often, the Russian likes to indulge on. The author, with its sheer realism, throws the reader in the front line; I found the first pages difficult to read, as though it would be me hiding under the brush, paralysed with fear, and helplessly witness the death of a friend, butchered by a bomb. This book is a memorial and a warning to all of those who perished and will perish in these massacres called war, as every simple person, no matter what country, belief, ideology they belonged to, is a victim. Vaino Linna subtly makes sure that the reader understands that ...
