Usage information

Misleading user’s instructions, Dangerous for novice user!
User manual’s instructions do not comply with how the instrument behaves during usage. The user’s manual says “for high voltage (120V) detection, the red light remains on and continuous beeps are generated“ and “For low voltage (12V) detection, the red light flashes slowly and beeps are generated”. In reality the instrument does not show any of the above combination so user cannot decide if it is a Low Voltage or High Voltage, a dangerous device for non-technical user. NOT recommended. The infrared sensor is very precise and accurate compared with other manufacturers (Fluke & FLIR). The range on the NCVT is quite impressive. It will pick up the flux from the circuit at a safe distance. Highly recommended for Industrial and Commercial Electric & HVAC technicians.
