Advertised as fair condition, but marked, bent pages and no cover - the description/photo she’s a book with sleeve, book arrives in what I would say is a poor condition and not as advertised.

    Greek Mythology for Dummies

After the origins how it all began and who is who the stories of where who and what was brought to life in language that I could understand, simple and enlightening, I really enjoyed reading where most common words got their origins, a remarkable and compelling book. Steven Fry has done a magnificent job of bringing the Greek gods to life in an easy to understand way. Thank you

  • Humorous retail of ancient Greek myth

I am always fascinated by the ancient stories, but have to admit the names, the various personality of each characters, are just difficult to remember. Fry's Mythos presents a much clearer timeline and storytelling of this complicated tale, in addition to his use of model language and making connection to what we nowadays have learned. It is overall easy to read and compelling.

  • Slightly rushed. Maybe a few too many footnotes?

The second hand condition was better than I expected. Stephen Fry does rush through the evolution of the stories somewhat and I cant help but read some of his quips in his voice, but on the whole enjoyable. Maybe a few too many footnotes which I do need to read. Probably I will buy the other 2 in the trilogy (somewhere at a reduced price) to finish this. Maybe I should have reviewed the whole series afterwards though?
