- *****- Feedback left by buyer.Past yearVerified purchaseGood Day, I have just installed one of your Upgrade kits into a Hornby Model 37, Serial Number 37263. This is NOT a complaint. Technical information. The Ringfield housing, the pins are only about 1mm long, so the clips wont go on. The size of the hole for the motor is about 1 mm oversize compared with the motor supplied. I used sticky tape as packing to wedge the motor firmly in. Thought you might be interested. best wishes to Maidenhead, I used to live in Wargrave. BGS
- *****- Feedback left by buyer.Past yearVerified purchaseEasy to fit and with the slimmer 6v motor it fits inside the middle axel ok. The downside is that because it is only 6v it does suffer from a lack of torque and as described in the sellers details does struggle with large loads or going up hills. Ideal for slow speed or light load up to 4 or 5 coaches. Be careful to run on no more than half speed (it is only a 6volt motor) But at 6v it runs fast enough with light loads.

I had a slight issue at the start where the slimline motor was not powerful enough to move the tender engine very well and under load hardly moved at all. After contacting the supplier they were very helpful and offered to replace it as it sounded faulty. Unfortunately the replacement was better, but not much, still not enough power. I contacted them again and they very kindly replaced both slim motors with the more powerful one. Worked like a dream.
