  • heatwarming story for everyone

excellent story by Louise de Bernieres taken from the true tale of Red Dog. Recommend also read Blue Dog by same author.

  • Worst book I have read...

Very disappointing read. I bought this book after reading Captain Corelli's Mandalin, which was superb, an absolutely amazing gem of a book, Red Dog, was the complete opposite, it was hard to believe it could possibly be the same author. These two books fall into the rare category of the BEST book I have read, and the WORST book I have read. Red Dog, was utterly pointless and boring, it followed the story of a dog that did "nothing" but managed to travel all over the place, no great tales of exploits, heroism, nothing, zippo!
