    Needed to modify for my little homemade fridge compressor

    I bought this switch to control a home made compressor assembly. I had a small Bostich unit that had a failed pump, so salvaged an old fridge compressor as a replacement. I fitted a non return valve into the compressor delivery line, and a bleed line from a T in the delivery line to the bleed port on this unit. Unfortunately, my little fridge pump makes an insufficient volume of air to overcome the bleed valve spring and close the valve off on start up. This unit is probably designed for larger compressors than my tiny one. However, I thought I could probably modify the unit to work. Here's how (do this at your own risk, and on a clear bench as the components are tiny): The bleed valve can be removed by slackening the valve back nut, and then withdrawing the forked plastic retaining key ...
