I would've preferred a tool with 3 or 4 grips but they are quite expensive so I thought I'd give this a try. Given that it's a universal tool, it isn't a perfect fit for my vehicle but, with a little fettling, has enough grip to get the job done. Saved me a lot of time and, with due care and attention, enabled me to remove the plastic locking ring without causing damage.
