Seller notes: “Brian O'Nolan (1911-1966), who wrote as Flann O'Brien and Myles na gCopaleen, is widely believed to ... “Brian O'Nolan (1911-1966), who wrote as Flann O'Brien and Myles na gCopaleen, is widely believed to have written at least three Sexton Blake novellas for the Amalgamated Press. These were published under the pen name Stephen Blakesley in 1951-3. The evidence for O'Nolan's authorship of these three pulp novels was summarised by John Wyse Jackson in an article in The Spectator of 30th January 1988. The three novellas are "The Riddle of the Blazing Bungalow", "The Trail Raider No,1" and "The Man with a Number". We are offering all three for sale separately. This is "The Man With a Number", published as Sexton Blake Library No. 278. Vintage Pulp Magazine, soft pictorial covers, 6.75 inches by 5.5 inches. In very attractive bright condition with some wear to the spine (see pictures). Internally clean and bright. Free of inscriptions. Binding sound and square, staples slightly beginning to rust. A very nice example of this rare item.”
