    It is great to see the sort of performance that defines the motto "Hobson's choice"

    I saw this film years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it and the performances of the three principles. Over the last few years, I have been collecting films which I consider memorable and worthy, and Hobson's Choice came easily to mind in this regard. I hadn't seen it in any of the catalogues I had and so I asked about about and - Bingo. I haven't yet watched it again, but I am really looking forward to the superb performances.

    The very best in a movie.

    This is one of the best old-time movies with the most engaging actors. And as the story unfolds, we see what the word "transformation" really means. We see it in almost all the characters, but John Mills, as the "bootmaker" does the best job of re-making himself before our very eyes. Loved it, and love having a copy to see over and over again!
