I put 16ounces of water in the mug; put it in the freezer overnight, slanted to that the ice block would extend almost the length the side of the mug. In the morning, filled it with pre-cooled water from the fridge. That was at 8 a.m.. At 4 pm there was still nice, cold water in the mug. The snap-opening drinking spout, which has NEVER leaked BTW, works perfectly. It was shipped in a bubble wrap envelop, and arrived in 2 days.
