The light strips are enclosed in a soft strip that is bendable. The remote gives a range of colours, but I only needed white as these are to light up the footwells in my car! Even on the dimmest setting there is sufficient glow at night to see the footwell and pupil's use of pedals when teaching. I have wired them to come on with the ignition.
