    Great read for secret code enthusiasts

    This was a fascinating read as it goes into some detail about how codes are created, deciphered and cracked. It also gives a bit of the history of encryption, the various types of codes created, how they were used and how they have ultimately led to the encryption systems we use for internet commerce today. I am a total novice on this topic, so I appreciated the simple and straightforward approach the author took starting with the most basic of codes and growing in complexity from there.

    If you are into Cryptography, this is a book that you will enjoy reading.

    Interesting book. I used it for my Cryptography class. I wished it had exercises. Good value. If you like Cryptography, this is a good book to read and learn about the history and basics of the subject.

    The Code Book is an incredible read...

    The Code Book is just another one of Simon Singh's masterpieces. With its historical, chronological, and engaging account of codebreaking, it is easily one of the most absorbing non-fiction books ever written. I enjoyed this book very much.
