      Knit And Crochet Scarves (And Shawls)

      I liked this book because I like knitting scarves, and there are a lot of them in this book. There are 30+ knit and crochet scarf patterns (about evenly divided between the two needlework types), plus a few patterns for knit and crochet shawls, also. The authors assume you know how to knit and purl and know single, double, and half-double crochet stitches, too. (There are no stitch instructions in the book.) The book is divided into beginner, easy, and intermediate pattern sections. Some of the patterns use bulky chunky yarn and would work up quickly. My one criticism is that I think the photos could have been better. Some of the photography leans more toward an artistic angle than it does showing clear pattern detail. And some of the projects are only illustrated with small photos, ...

      Review for the book Just Scarves by Nancy J. Thomas

      I love to knit scarves for gifts and needed a lot of difference patterns. This book fit the bill perfectly. Also the price was right.
