About this product

Product Information

Captured by the Japanese after the fall of Bataan, Lester Tenney was one of the very few who would survive the legendary Death March and three and a half years in Japanese prison camps. With an understanding of human nature, a sense of humor, sharp thinking, and fierce determination, Tenney endured the rest of the war as a slave laborer in Japanese prison camps. My Hitch in Hell is an inspiring survivor's epic about the triumph of human will despite unimaginable human suffering.

  • My cousin was Also in that March

Although I have not yet read the book, others who were a part of this march is of interest to me. My cousin had written a first hand account of his experience, not only being in the march but in the Japanese POW Camps. I found his account much different than others. Was it so my cousins family wouldn't worry? Just from seeing films and reading other books I have to agree with the title of this book. The word Hell and Death stand out. It's a wonder anyone survived. There are so many in this country that take their freedom's for granted. Just look around you. We as a Nation are split. Is that really something these men fought for? I don't think so.
