I think the scratch impacted the amount of RAM I was able to use, but the seller was VERY responsive and issued me a refund FAST for an amount we agreed on where I would keep the processor since tariffs and shipping would be expensive for both of us.     Upgrade from C2D 8400

    Upgraded my HP dc 7900 USDT (the smallest one) with this processor because HP states that the motherboard can only handle 65w CPU's. Plopped this on in and the computer booted right up. Actually surprised that it even worked as HP BIOS usually doesn't like CPU's that aren't listed as compatible. Recommended upgrade to make an older computer more viable today.
