    Number plates history and tales of the early motorists.

    I have been interested in cars, car numbers and social history all my life and this is an amazing book filled with detail. The level of four years + research is incredible by Nicholas Young and those interested by the early years of motoring in the 1900-1920 period will love the stories. I am also interested in the history of British number plates and where they came from in the UK. `Even if the number plate fixation if not an issue the interesting stories and characters of pioneer motoring are fascinating.
