About this product

Product Information

Players take on the role of Lara Croft, an explorer who is always up for any adventure that involves finding rare artifacts. This time Lara has been hired to locate and retrieve the three pieces of the Scion. From a third-person perspective players will explore 15 levels spread out over four areas of the world: Peru, Greece, Egypt, and Atlantis. Each level features secrets, puzzles, and enemies to combat.

Lara begins the game with two pistols but throughout the adventure many new weapons can be found, such as a shotgun and an uzi. Weapons have limited ammunition so players must always be on the lookout for more. At the end of every level Tomb Raider displays how long it took to complete and the number of secrets found.

Received Ikenfell as expected. My only problem was the user manual was creased multiple times in the same spot so it looks as if someone had already opened it before and that this could have just been a repackage. This could've been done when LimitedRunGames shipped these out. So I don't blame the seller. Nevertheless I received what I wanted at a better price than I would have received from other sellers. The quality and integrity of the game are in perfect condition.

Tomb Raider for the Saturn is good for one reason... the Saturn's D-Pad

Some people say they can't fathom playing this on the Saturn's D-Pad, myself, I say I cannot fathom playing this on a PlayStation D-Pad. The Saturn's D-Pad is hard to explain, it's not a common type of D-Pad but it works in a way that acts like an 8-way D-Pad. It makes this game quite playable. The PSX "D-pad" is just four really tough buttons arranged in cardinal directions, by my terms. That said, this version of the game seems... unfinished. The performance is strange. It never becomes unplayable due to bad frame-rates, that said, the frame-rate is not great. This is not a game that requires much in the way of responsiveness however: Lara Croft is as clunky to control in this game as she is in any version of the original Tomb Raider. For example if you hit the "Jump" button while Lara ...

Tomb Raider is a defining game of the 32-bit era in the 1990's.

Tomb Raider was one of the defining games of the 32-bit era in the 1990's and is most often associated with the Playstation. However, the game was actually originally released on the Sega Saturn. Tomb Raider is a solid game overall, but there are many aspects of it that do not hold up. As an early example of a 3D platformer/adventure game, the graphics looks blocky and polygonal compared to modern standards. The game play can often be difficult and controls can be confusing. However, I recommend Tomb Raider because it is an important piece of gaming history and is fairly cheap to buy for the Saturn.

  • The Game That Started It All.

I remember on Christmas we had a 'special' gift from my older cousin, it was a Sega Saturn System loaded with games - including this one, Tomb Raider. I was an amassed fan of the series shortly after, (not because of the pixel-made cleavage either)I could run jump and shoot. Loved it. I have to say the Sega Saturn Version is slightly better than the Playstation twin. Simply for the controls were more fluid and the special, and at times handy 'gamma' flashlight contained within the Menu Options. On an easy scale, now that I'm 20, this game is very easy, compared to some of the more puzzling and fustrating sequels (like Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation) Its a must-have if the only thing in the series you've participated in was the Movies. I also recommend you play them in order - There's ...

  • Eidos Exclusive

Tomb Raider is one of the greatest games to grace the Sega Saturn. The graphics were nicely done for its time. I liked the levels and the obstacles that were in store for Lara. The T-Rex battle was a nice addition. Not to mention the battle with the giant Atlantean creature towards the end of the game. Lara got to unleash fury on the beast with her uzis and magnums. The music was rather nice. I got a kick out of some of the cinemas between the levels. The loading time was sort of long, but I got over it. I had this game for about nine years now and I still haven't beat it(didn't get to play it as much as I wanted and I ended up losing my save data). Some of the levels were a big challenge especially towards the end of the game. Palace Midas is one of my favorite levels. This is a game you ...
