I had a problem with it . The drum was grinding against the drive wheel. Spoke to customer service and sent them a video. They were helpful and sent a replacement. Good customer service..

Great wee machine with just a few niggles.

I've given this mixer a 4 star rating and, keeping in mind its low price it's pretty good value for the money. For what you pay you get a machine robust enough to keep a busy DIY builder on the go. It's good enough for me to keep up a days cement mixing filling patio block molds with ease. It was a tad irksome to assemble. Not difficult, just little nags like the bolts need a wiggle to get them through a few not-quite-lining-up holes. It's a split drum with a large rubber seal and I couldn't get it to stop leaking. It also leaked on the flange at the rear of the drum. I needed the machine urgently and, as I live in Ireland, it was less hassle for me to fix it myself than to return the thing. I took the drum apart and silicon sealed the gasket in place. I did the same with the rear ...

    OK for DIY

Great value for money. Not particularly well packed, was left on its side (not following this way up instruction) which resulted in bent pins on electrical plug. Build quality ok. It was missing two screws and had extra bolts. None of the numbered bags matched enclosed diagram. Motor baseplate warped and difficult to align. Drum is excentric so makes quite a lot of grating nosie even when empty, Great for small batches of concrete or mortar. Poor design with switches on drum side of box as they get splashed. Was surprised with all that metal it was not earthed. It is not marked as double insulated, there is no rating plate and no certificate of electrical conformance. Would not recommend using without an ELCB

  • Overall good value for small jobs and medium use

Mixer is ok, very noisy. I find the blades are a bit of a bad design and stuff tends to stick in the back when it's only half full. Other than that it seems to be holding up great. Mixer about a wheel barrow full of compo at a time which is ideal for me and fits in the back of my estate easy. Not the most stable of things so don't go bashing it with a shovel. It was a pain having to assemble it but not complicated. Took me 30 mins as it doesn't come with a socket for the bolts and I had to use some pliers

  • Worth every penny.

I Wish That I had purchased one of these a long time ago. It's just the job for home use. If you bare this in mind, you are on a winner. It's robust, easy to assemble, and easy to use. Don't overload it, and clean it after you have finished. Mine has been outside in the recent Biblical rain we have endured and is still fine. I have mixed course concrete, mortar (so far about 2 Ton) and so far the drum paint is still intact. By personal choice I have applied some general grease to the drive gear as I think this can only help (my opinion). If you think you need one, just get it. I have ruined two drills mixing mortar over the years and they cost more than this 'each'.

  • A decent budget mixer

I purchased this as I have a lot of slabs to lay and relay in the garden and so decided it would help my back as I'm not getting any younger. As some mentioned the instructions for putting this together weren't great, however my 15 year old son was able to put it together in less than an hour with just a little help from me when he needed a second pair of hands. I have used the mixer for a day so far and it is much easier than my usual method of mixing by hand. Two tips that I found useful was to put the water in first before the dry contents. Secondly to empty the mixer into a trug as a wheelbarrow can't fit underneath. Did not find the mixer to be particularly noisy and it cleaned fairly easily when I was finished. Overall very pleased with the purchase.
