I bought this game because I saw it in one of my gaming magazines as a classic "gamers" game. I ordered a few different ones from this list. 'Killer 7' is really awesome conceptually- a man with 7 different "personalities" that manifest themselves as characters in the game-now that is pretty cool in the "original games" category & graphically it is clean and gorgeous. My problem was this: I started playing the game, it was fun but sooo complex & somewhat frustrating. This annoying ninja freak kept dropping in & giving instructions in a monotone computer voice with subtitles like -"We are in trouble deep master....we are in a real jam". He was really irritating. I wanted to play with all the "characters", but I didn't even get that far. I couldn't get out of the 2nd hallway-I tried and tried! I play alot of games & this was kind of frustrating & confusing.....I am not too hot on puzzles in general, I am more of an action-adventure-RPG gal....However, all irritations aside (all games have them, as we all know) I still would have liked to play it if I could figure it out! ... However, 'Killer 7' is visually stimulating, conceptually cool, & worth a gander, especially if you can figure out the 2nd hallway puzzle...lol..Read full review
I bought this game as I was intrigued by other reviews that stated how innovative and creepy this game is. I have to say that in both categories it is an understatement. This game was highly creative, and stands out as one of those never duplicated masterpieces that exist only on the PS 2. It was disturbing beyond belief. I haven't played a game since that left me with such an uneasy feeling, but in a "Wow" kind of way. This will be one of those games that people will seek out more and more as it becomes more and more scarce. If you find a copy grab it and hold on to it. I can only play it in little pieces as it leaves me feeling so uncomfortable, like I am inside a very bad place, somewhere that I shouldn't be and I need to get out before I am lost in the madness forever.
While not a huge ps2 title compared to giants like shadow of the colossuss, MGS 3: snake eater, silent hill 2 and , etc. Killer 7 is amazing game with a great soundtrack as well as in game sounds that makes it feel so real. Killer 7 boasts huge replay value with special modes like Killer 8 and Hopper 7 being available after beating the game to add on to the value the game brings. The controls are smooth and there are many characters to fully upgrade and experiment with to find the right setup that will help you progress in each scenario you are presented with. I would suggest this title, as I think this fits in well with the amazing ps2 library. 5/5 rating.
