Noisy Cistern!
The Valve would have got five stars it had a more robust but on the under side to tighten it up! I found it difficult to get a decent purchase , but managed to make a watertight connection. The Valve works perfectly and is efficient, filling quicker and cured all the previous noise! Eric Suttie

Ideal Standard cistern valve didn't work at all.
I fitted the valve as per the instructions but was disappointed to find it did not turn off when the water level rose past the set level. In fact you could hold the float up and the flow still didn't stop. I tried removing and wiping the rubber valve and reitted but nothing changed. In the end I bought a different, cheaper brand that worked first time, no fuss. I can't recommend Ideal Standard cistern valves.I fitted the valve as per the instructions but was disappointed to find it did not turn off when the water level rose past the set level. Excellent replacement product.
Ordered a Univalve to replace leaking one at home, as my original one has been superceeded I received the SV81767. This new valve assembly fully meets the requirements of the old one and I would recommend its use. Excellent value rom the supplier.
