About this product

Product Information

In the Wii edition of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, players must flick their Wii Remote to cast the initial spell and then maneuver the controller in different directions to produce several outcomes. For example, pushing the remote forward causes the enchanted item onscreen to be thrust away from the character. Gamers may take the role of Harry Potter, Sirius Black, and Professor Dumbledore as they explore the areas in and around Hogwarts. The teachers and officials in the magic community refuse to acknowledge the return of Voldemort, and so Harry and his friends have started training other students how to defend themselves against the Dark arts. Other aspects of gameplay include attending Herbology, Charms, Transfiguration, and Potions classes as well as completing side-missions for professors.

Strange (in the best way) and good condition

This video game is so old and strange by today’s video game standards, and that’s what makes it amazing. It’s especially fun as a Harry Potter fan. I love 2000s video games with all their hilarious flaws, and I was glad to find one in such good condition for such a good price.

    A decent, bigger adventure.

It's a decent game. It's much bigger than the four previous games and very different. You get to solve little puzzles to collect points to unlock all sorts of rewards, such as things that help you in game or bonuses like interviews with the cast from the movies or creators of the game. You can also find passwords for shortcuts throughout the castle. The controls are a bit difficult to use at times, mainly because they seem rather unresponsive, particularly the Incendio Charm. Overall it's a decent game that sticks very closely to the movie.

  • A huge step for the series

I've played most of the games in the Harry Potter series. The first ones I enjoyed playing with my (much younger) cousins, but the series improved over time and the last two games I've enjoyed with my wife. While the Order of the Phoenix doesn't offer the simultaneous mutliplayer of Harry Potter IV, it is superior in every other regard. The Environment is huge and continuous. All of Hogwart's is captured accurately and with detail. You will be revisiting many areas of the school, but for Harry Potter fans, this shouldn't become tiresome. The Controls add much to the game this time around. The wii controller is a good representation of the wand and, despite some recognition problems, you'll get used to the wiimote and appreciate it. The Grahics are great, though, of course, not ...

  • Great for Harry Potter fans; decent otherwise.

Myself, I am a Harry Potter freak. I can most certainly understand why this makes the game appeal tremendously to me, whereas it might not do the same for a casual fan or anyone else. The greatest part of the game to me is the massive castle grounds, which can provide loads of entertainment without you requiring to even do anything in the game. Running from the Gryffindor common room out to the owlery in real time is just a lot of fun. The graphics are rendered beautifully, and even the characters themselves don't look all together horrible. The only problem I could see was framerate issues, and it would get jagged and slow at times for no real reason. This isn't that huge of a problem, but I was disappointed with it. The game itself is also quite fun. The mechanics of using the wand to ...

  • I thought it'd go Bang...but it only sizzled

I really love HP and I thought this game would be totally awesome. It was fun, but it'd quickly get boring. pros: pretty good graphics, get to use wii remote often, explore explore explore!! cons: map was hard to follow, script was pretty shoddy and could be annoying at times. The most fun part was the exploring and being able to run wildly and seing what's behind a potrait and stuff like that. But, once that wears off it goes a bit down hill. The map was hard to follow because you'd pinpoint a place you'd want to go and then you have to follow these black footsteps to get there. More than half the time Ron and/or Mione's head/body would get in the way and you couldn't tell which way to go! Also, if it's dark because of shadowing, you've no clue which direction to take. And, you're ...
