    This is a fun and enjoyable game, the character customization is good and the game is great for beginners. I highly recommend this game for those who love simulation games with a storyline, charming characters, and fun and easy-to-learn gameplay.

    Not the best, nor the worst.

    Being that I'm an avid NATSUME fan, I'd have to rate this Harvest Moon 3/5 stars. The fact that you can give gifts to everyone is annoying as that's a classic part of Harvest Moon. That and the amount of characters was disappointing, as even the older Harvest Moon games had a nice variety of characters. This one you basically have to unlock them which is a tad annoying. I like the mail/newspaper addition and the decorating your house is cool too. Still it does not compare to Harvest Moon for 64, or Magical Melody. They need to take the better graphics and all the extras that is in Magical Melody and make the best Harvest Moon ever! One day...I hope. I recommend playing Rune Factory 4 folks. That game is AMAZING!

    Slow paced, and repetitive

    The first Harvest Moon I ever played was Magical Melody on the GameCube. I absolutely adored that game as I was growing up, and I still do. Take this review with a grain of salt, considering I have not played too much of this game yet. But gosh, the beginning is incredibly slow paced with hardly anything to do besides scavenging the forest for bugs, wood, rocks, etc. When you first start there are literally only 3 other people in the town besides your character. I completely understand that the game will open up as you play it, but it gets repetitive very quickly. In order for people to want to keep playing, there needs to be a variety of activities to do.

    Awesome Game.

    This is definitely one of the best Harvest Moon. You get to create the town just the way you like it. I recommend it. It is true the beginning is slow but once you get to Summer of Year 1. The game becomes a lot more fun.
