A jaded priest finds hope and redemption in the unlikeliest places in this indie drama from writer-director Patrick Coyle. Jeremy Sisto stars as Catholic priest Father John, who has become complacent in his vocation until the day that a depressed prostitute, Linda (Kristin Chenoweth), wanders into his confessional and reveals that she intends to commit suicide on her birthday--and then disappears. Father John’s quest to find and save the woman leads him on a journey into the city’s sexual underworld, where he finds help from unexpected sources, including hookers, pimps, and strippers. Brian Baumgartner ("Kevin" from THE OFFICE) turns in a supporting performance as a fellow priest.

    Interesting character study/drama - great acting abounds!

    This movie probably isn't what you'd expect from Kristin Chenoweth and while she's quite good, Jeremy Sisto is the real star here. As a priest, his character hears the confession of a prostitute who is planning to kill herself on her birthday. When she leaves, he decides he must find her and try to save her. His actions are not exactly in line with a priest's regular duties, but he becomes obsessed with seeking her. An interesting character study of both the priest and the prostitute with a sense of urgency that kept my interest easily. I never would have watched this if Chenoweth wasn't in it and I would have missed a gem. I even went back and watched several scenes again immediately following my first viewing. It's just too bad that there aren't any extras here...I would have loved to ...

    A wonderful movie of Faith and Forgiveness

    This is a wonderful movie about Faith and Forgiveness. The actor who plays the Catholic Priest is wonderful believable and the story line is engaging. I loved this movie. More people should see it perhaps on a Family TV channel

    a must see!

    This is an outstanding movie. I am so surprised that it did not generate more awards show buzz. The writing is exceptional and the acting is superb. This story will leave you glued until the ending and also have you second guessing yourself. If you are a Midwesterner, you will appreciate many of the references. The screenwriter is an Omahan and many of the names of streets, families, etc. will be familiar. Overall, it was an outstanding film.

    Don't miss Jeremy Sisto in this role.

    I decided to buy this video because in my opinion Jeremy sisto is an actor with such diversity that I was eager to see his performance as a priest. He was, of course, excellent in this role. The story line holds your interest and the movie is very enjoyable.
