This is one of the best documentals about the mexican war, may be because was made with historians of Mexico and USA. Only fails in two facts: 1. It doesn't explain in deep that the war was the result of the Manifest Destiny, that all begun with the anglos in Texas and the expansion of USA to the west. USA wanted to buy the land of Mexico, but Mexico didn't want to sell. So USA decided to invade the country. The pretext was the boundry of Texas. 2. The so called disputed area between Rio Nueces and Rio Grande (Rio Bravo), in fact was under mexican rule. The towns and villages of the right side of Rio Grande, like Taos, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Laredo and others were loyal to Mexico, even sent soldiers to the war. So, USA invaded the country to steal its land. All in all, this is a good documental, and I recommend it for students in both countries.Read full review
Documentary gives a lot of information on a topic of US History that is not covered much in detail. Brings up a question of morality of "Manifest Destiny".

I wanted to have background for my American History class, but this documentary was almost painful to watch. Although the information was good, it was really slow and dry.
