      Great piece of cast iron cookware. I am doing almost 100% of my cooking and baking using cast iron. Have made several loafs of bread in cast iron bread pan and everyone has been outstanding. One of the only pieces I have purchased that came in TRULY seasoned.

      Exactly what you are looking for!

      My wife loves these loaf pans! They work very well and have enabled her to up her already stellar bread game. The negative reviews that I have seen regarding pan thickness or seasoning have not been issues for us. These loaf pans may not be quite as thick as a frying pan, but they are still plenty thick enough for anything for which loaf pans are used. The seasoning on our pans is complete and even. The pans did arrive with a coating on them that was oily and smelled chemically. I presume this is used to condition, preserve, and prevent rusting of the cast iron during storage and shipping. We washed it off with hot water only and proceeded to use our pans without incident.

      Cast Iron Bread Pan

      Most non-stick can't take 450 degree oven and I don't like aluminum at all. I do love cast iron. I was hoping that I could use one as a bottom and one as a top for bread baking. But the don't come together too well. I had to totally re- season it by applying Crisco before baking. Maybe at some point I won't have to use Crisco every time. Overall I am very pleased.

      Better, crispier loaves!

      I'm a fan of Dutch oven-baked bread, because the heat characteristics of the cast iron crisps the sides and bottom of the loaf while the oven itself finishes the top. Although the technique with these loaf pans is a little different (no preheating), the results are very similar... nicely done sides and bottom (and top). I think I got more oven spring! Was surprised and impressed with these pans' pre-seasoning. And the little handles make handling them easier when hot. Love cast iron; it is the original non-stick cookware. Love these pans!

      Great Value high quality very happy

      This is my first experience with a cast iron bread pan. I am very happy with the way it holds the Heat and the bread turns out. It gives a crust a nice texture and releases easy from pan.
