Soccer fans can play along with their favorite international stars in this interactive adaptation of the 64-match, 2006 FIFA World Cup tournament held in Germany between June and July. Using an enhanced version of the graphics engine featured in 2005's FIFA Soccer 06, the game includes 125 national teams and all-new modes of play. The main mode focuses on qualifying and advancing through World Cup competition in the country's 12 official stadiums, while Global Challenge lets players re-create 40 historic moments from past World Cup tournaments. <br><br>The game also introduces a context-sensitive shooting system that takes into account multiple variables, including the athlete's shooting ability, the amount of defensive pressure, and his proximity to the goal. Animations for players on the pitch have been expanded, with signature-style moves for nearly 100 top-ranked superstars, from Claudio Reyna to Frank Lampard to Xavi. Throughout each mode, players have the chance to unlock rewards such as legendary athletes and licensed apparel for use in multiplayer games. Up to eight players can challenge one another offline in custom ladder matches.

My brother bought this game and it is awesome. I have never played a soccer video game before, cuz they seemed boring, but this is really great. I cannot get myself to stop playing it. I like the fact that it has commentary in either english or spanish. I especially enjoyed the spanish commentary, because its funny and entertaining. the english commentary is a little bporing. Either way, its a great game with all the soccer teams, even the ones that didn't make the world cup.My brother bought this game and it is awesome. Excellent game. You are actually getting it for a good price because this game should cost 49.99 like all the other well known EA games. The game play is good but it could be better. Up to 125 countries on the game. Countries I've never even heard of (Vanuatu)? The actual World Cup Tournament is the exact same thing from the crowd reactions to the confetti. The best part is actually leading your country from the qualification rounds to the actual World Cup. Great Game Overall. Well worth your money. Awesome Soccer Game
This game is by far the best World Cup soccer game to date. It's easy to play, yet challenging to its full extent. The graphics are by far the best that a soccer game has ever had. This is a must buy game for all soccer fans!
