Rubbish reel
On first inspection this seemed a good combo despite the reel being on the wobbly side. However after a few light uses, the reel fell apart as the threads on the spindle had stripped, rendering it useless. UPDATE 6 MONTHS ON: The retailer replaced the reel. I replaced the line straightaway as it was of poor quality and I have had no problems with the combo since. It's a great rod for jig fishing. Perhaps not light enough to be the best for drop shotting, but still pretty good. Broke first outing
Managed only an hour with this rod before the the tip snapped off 4" from the end all i was doing was pulling a bit of line out against the lightly set drag of the reel. That been said the rest of it was of good quality the pre tied rigs etc and since buying a better purpose built drop shotting rod that day from my local tackle shop ive gone on to catch plenty of fish on the lures provided

Nicely balanced and light rod, action is maybe a little bit too heavy to be classed as a dropshot rod but makes an ideal light lure/jig head rod. Good action on the blank when playing fish, handles reasonable sized pike with ease.

great rod for the money
full carbon, strong, super light weight a pleasure to use. really pleased with mine .... when a couple of my friends see mine they bought one..... fantastic little rod . for what it is made for will last a lifetime..... i cant wait to get a few more fish on it .... soft in the tip with a bit of power lower down ..... perfect for fishing with the stated weight ranges.
