Ubisoft is encouraging kids to play with their food -- their giant, virtual food, that is. The video game version of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs is a 3D platform-adventure that follows the plot of the 2009 Sony Pictures feature film. Players take control of ambitious inventor Flint Lockwood to save the world from a contraption-gone-wrong, which is causing oversized food to fall from the skies. Through 20 levels of story-driven play, Flint must explore his surroundings, search for useful parts, solve location-based platform puzzles, and even do battle against mutant food, in order to figure out how to stop his own invention (which, as it so happens, is the source of the rogue comestibles). By collecting and combining gadget parts, Flint can create devices to help him out of tight spots, as well as weapons to fling food at approaching enemies. A console-exclusive feature allows a second player to jump in and out of the game at any time, taking the role of Flint's simian sidekick. Item arrived more battered than in the photos. It was a battle with seller to negotiate the price down as afterall it is just a cardboard box. They were very reluctant. Dropped price a little bit then forgot to mention other hidden charges not stated. Seller stopped replying to msgs. I would not recommend buying from seller. The item was shipped using the Ebay Global Shipping program. As I stated in multiple messages I have no control over what you are charged for shipping, taxes or any other fees in whatever country the item was being delivered to. The box was in good shape as the pictures show in the listing with some minor damage which is pictured and mentioned in the description of the item.

Light-hearted fun cooperative play, especially with younger kids
The game stayed pretty true to the film, and got my daughter to stay immersed in the Cloudy universe. Gameplay is just plain silly and with good challenge progression.

I made the mistake of expecting more, and was disappointed...
I got this for my Nephew for his birthday, because it had pretty good reviews, and Ubisoft makes a lot of good games. It also seemed to be commanding a pretty high price for a movie-tie-in, so I thought it would be a good purchase. I was completely wrong! I have no idea why people think it is worth that much. There are FAR superior games, even within the genre/category. The graphics are sub-par, given that the developers had at least some of the assets from the movie to work with. The controls are barely adequate. The levels are simplistic and contrived, even by "kid-game" standards. The "multi-player" feels like it was tacked-on at the last minute. Cloudy with a chance of meatballs
My four year old daughter and I love this game! It took us only a few days to finish the whole game but even though we have, we love playing it over and over again. PS3 doesn't have a lot of games for kids, it's mostly a game system for teens and adults so when I bought this game, it became an instant hit. It's very kid friendly. There is no violence or gruesome graphics, it's a lot of fun and the graphics are cute, it's all food! Really big food! So my daughter is amused with it. You basically are just battling with food or using it as a weapon or moving it around. It's fun.My four year old daughter and I love this game! This game is great fun for your little ones.
My kids are such fans of the movie (6 and 9 years old) they went ape when I ordered this for them. They were able to complete the main game in just one day, but there are side adventures for them to go on. I would highly recommend this to anyone with kids!!!!!!!!

Good game for the kids, but overpriced in stores. Can be a little confusing to manuever around different levels so kids may need some help.
