A rail cutter is an essential tool for anyone making a lay out with flexi track or of a design that requires track to be adjusted to fit. The sharp jaws provide a precision cut that accepts the rail joiners without further attention. Downside is that once your lay out is finished the tool is redundant as you may never need it again. Still bought mine as it was seriously discounted and far quicker and provided a better finish than using a hacksaw or file. The additional cost to quality finish is definitely worth the expense.

This is worth every penny , starts paying for itself with the first cut , with the first fishplate fitted , simple as that . Square cut, easy fishplate fit , electrical connection .... throw out the hacksaw , pliers and dremel, I tried them all These Work .
