Notes
Limited 180gm clear and blue colored audiophile pressing. Buddy Guy collaborated a number of times with the equally-legendary Junior Wells, but 1972's Buddy Guy & Junior Wells Play the Blues was particularly notable for a couple of different reasons. The process of recording this LP started in Miami in 1970, and although it was a project that also involved Eric Clapton, Tom Dowd and Ahmet Ertegun, the sessions ultimately came to a close with only eight tracks recorded. It would be another two years before the album was finished by adding two more tracks, but this time around Guy and Wells were working with The J. Geils Band. Featuring Eric Clapton, Dr. John, and members of the J. Geils Band, Play the Blues stands as one of the greatest albums ever cut by Chicago electric blues legend Buddy Guy and his studio and stage cohort Junior Wells.

- m***t (105)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseFast shipping and very well packed. Great buying experience! Item was as described. Sealed and the record looks good. No visible blems, warps, or scraches. It's my unfortunate luck the first song, "and my favorite" Stranded has two small skips right in the beginning. Sad but, has nothing to do with seller. Advertised never opened and never played. Thank you for the record. Delivered 4 days early from across the pond. Cheers!

- m***r (134)- Feedback left by buyer.Past yearVerified purchaseThe record arrived safely and far exceeded my expectations. Seller grades very conservatively…this VG++ record sounds NM+ after a cleaning and the cover is in better condition than described. Furthermore, the record was packaged extremely well and every effort was taken to secure it from any damage. This seller goes above and beyond, you can purchase from them with absolute confidence. Very happy, thank you!ELTON JOHN [Goodbye Yellow Brick Road] MFSL 2-160 LTD/NUM’D (#145610484848)
