Although I love war epics and extended editions, this one just drags on and on with nothing too interesting happening. I still can't get past Mark Hamill’s role in Star Wars for his character to even begin to be believable, and he should definitely not be in this movie. The end was kind of a let down and just kind of ended abruptly, but comprehensible. This film does however cover almost all U.S. campaigns from Africa to Europe which is cool, but what are the chances of this. I would recommend watching the original release rather than the reconstructed, and if you have to see this you should rent it first, and save yourself time and money. RATING: 3 / 5 STARS Recommended War Films: Downfall (A movie covering the last days and downfall of Nazi Germany) 5/5 Saving Private Ryan (I don't think I need to say anything) 5/5 Apocalypse Now Redux (In my opinion the best Vietnam war film ever made) 5/5 WWII Battle Front (A History Channel Documentary) 5/5 IF YOU LIKE MY REVIEW PLEASE VOTERead full review

I bought Big Red One because I like Lee Marvin's acting. He did not disappoint. It was well worth the money. Although it has some historical basis, I liked it because it was a good movie to watch during this pandemic which was extended because of the incompetence of President Trump.
