True Mod Music
While many people associate bands like The Who and The Small Faces with the British Mod Movement, the music that was initially embraced by this group was American R&B of the era - Motown to be exact. Georgie Fame was a keyboardist and band leader that played this type of music for American servicemen stationed in England at the time and his career took off from there. If you want a sense of the burgeoning British Mod Movement of 1964/65 was listening to, pick this up.
