An original sci-fi shooter from the developers of Dead Rising, Lost Planet takes place in an arctic wasteland populated by aliens and a ragtag group of pirates. The world, E.D.N. III, is home to the Akrid, an insect-like race that is threatened by an encroaching human colony. As a snow pirate named Wayne, your goal is to harvest the Akrid for the thermal energy necessary for mankind's survival. The harsh weather and hostile creatures require a bit more than the average snowsuit, so players can strap themselves into armor-plated, bipedal machines called Vital Suits. These suits can be outfitted with a variety of high-powered armaments, from plasma rifles and machine guns to rocket launchers and grenades.<br><br>Lost Planet features a third-person viewpoint and emphasizes frenetic action across 11 distinct stages. Targeting is automatic and missions are structured in a linear fashion, each culminating in a boss fight against a deadly mix of organic and mechanical creatures. Cinematic cut-scenes delve into Wayne's mysterious past, while destructible environments lead to new Vital Suits being discovered for alternate attack and transportation forms. Online support for up to 16 combatants is also included in a variety of game modes. In addition to the kill-or-be-killed elimination and team elimination formats, players can race to control five outposts or work together to take out an armed fugitive. The PlayStation 3 version includes 16 multiplayer maps and exclusive characters to unlock, including Dead Rising's Frank West, Mega Man, and more.

My Playstation 3 Slim arrived well packaged and undamaged. The item was in very good condition as described and has been working great so far. My only complaint considering how well the unit was kept that it didn't include the controller usb charge cable. This prevented me from completing console setup until I could source one locally. Give this game a chance!!!!!!!
A lot of people told me this was a bad game. I watched several videos and read several reviews as well. I wasn't gonna buy it based on the enormous amount of negative feedback I received about this game. I eventually saw it here on ebay for a great price and I decided to try it anyway. I discovered that most people never gave this game a chance. The main problem most people had with this game was the fact that you had to collect orbs from downed enemies in order to stay alive. It's like a timer that kills you if don't kill enough people. Any game with this feature has always irritated me to no end. Luckily, I found a cheat to add orbs to your meter whenever you want. If you use this code while playing the game it makes it a much better game. I'm not really a fan of cheats, at ... A lot of people told me this was a bad game. Item was at great price, it has exellent graphics, story is not that challeging but this game exeeds in online mode. Has imense maps and a variety of them includin one that will take you to your nes years, have fun and hide and snipe anyone in sight. Go team on team up to 16 people with voice chat enabled to plan your attacks. Your are the target in fugitive so run for your life and post graph well its just plain fun. Good online fun, not so good game mode.
I really like the online play of this game. Maybe it is because people are harder to kill than the easy computer characters that run the same patterns like this is still the NES. It will not take you more than 6 hours to beat the game mode, but there is still plenty of fun to be had killing people on line. The graphics are really good on this game. The only other negative is the fact that everything moves so slow. Unlike games like call of duty 4 or RFOM, the characters seem to move in much slower motion. This is great for helping you kill other players, but while you are shooting them they are also shooting you. LOLI really like the online play of this game. If love mech, creatures & shooters this your game
Fun game to play, love the challenges of the boss, levels, creatures. The big thing i like about this game is the different mech you can pilot and each has a different ability. The 2nd cool thing is that you can use regular weapons or take weapons off the mechs and use them yourself. The thing i dont like is the that through the game you have to keep a certain level of t energy to stay alive and pilot your mechs, but other than thing its a good gameFun game to play, love the challenges of the boss, levels, creatures.
